[How to use]
When used for cherry salmon jigging, use a tackle setup with a light jigging rod or a slow-pitch dedicated rod, paired with a small to medium baitcasting reel or spinning reel. For PE line, 0.8 to 1.2号 is recommended, depending on the rod stiffness. For king salmon season, 1.5号 or stronger is recommended.
The basic method is to actively move the jig with a one-pitch one-jerk retrieve, extending the time between jerks slightly to intentionally create a sharp slide followed by a rapid fall.
The target depth varies depending on the current:
For vertical jigging: 20-60m/125g
40-90m/150g
60-120m/180g are the standard ranges.
When drift jigging (dotera nagashi), it is crucial to select one size heavier jig.
