The Iron Range 683 Quick Drive maintains the same effective length as the previous 663 model, while extending the rear grip by approximately 2 inches.
This increases holding power during jerking and accommodates a variety of jerking styles. The Quick Drive employs a relatively responsive fast taper, allowing for delicate and precise jig manipulation using only the tip section.
It is effective when combined with a low-gear reel to increase the number of actions within a narrow range while minimizing jig travel distance. When paired with a high-gear reel, it excels in situations where you want to utilize the rod's length to achieve wide jig slides.
This rod is suitable for yellowtail from Hokkaido to Tohoku, amberjack from Sotobo to Ibaraki, yellowtail and amberjack in the Sea of Japan, and yellowtail and amberjack in the Genkai Sea of Kyushu, covering fishing in waters around Japan.
