The "KAWASEMI185F" is a sub-surface swimming pencil developed to specialize in maintaining a range within 30cm of the water's surface.
To induce "underwater bites" characteristic of large, high-pressure amberjacks, we thoroughly pursued the ideal range, action, and wave motion.
All weights composing the lure are made of tungsten.
While maintaining a fixed center of gravity, it achieves excellent casting distance and high responsiveness, demonstrating stable castability even in situations where casting against the wind is required.
Furthermore, by adjusting the floating posture in millimeter increments, an exquisite balance close to vertical floating is achieved.
It starts action immediately after landing without time lag, and consistently maintains a depth within 30cm of the water's surface in any situation.
When retrieved steadily, it produces a unique "Dutch roll action" that combines rolling and an S-curve trajectory. With a natural yet impactful wave motion, it effectively appeals to the lateral lines of wary large amberjacks that have learned to disregard conventional swimming pencils.
【HOW TO USE】
The basic operation is a steady retrieve.
By adjusting the winding speed according to the strength of the current and the activity of the fish, the lure's inherent action can be maximized.
Additionally, by slightly feeding the rod tip during a steady retrieve and intentionally creating a momentary line slack, you can create a "feeding pause" for the lure.
This instantaneous change in action triggers the feeding switch of trailing fish, leading to a bite opportunity.
This method is particularly effective in situations where fish are chasing but not fully committing to a bite, or in high-pressure fishing environments.
